If
Let’s get started with “If.” It’s a thing we all wonder about as concerns the past, the future and even the present at times. IF. Is there a shorter word that begs more clarity? If this. Then that. Those two go together like a divination. Except divination is best left to those who practice idiocy. The future is unknown or we would all be rich. If, that is, rich is what we were aiming for. The knowledge of IF rests in an unknown quadrant of time and space. IF is also a useless kind of word as IF rarely takes place or there would be no need for IF.
Then again, there is but. BUT. A word that vies for second place just down from IF. IF, BUT. I don’t know. I think I just wrote myself into a corner didn’t I? Or, did I? If only?
Name a word that has less meaning than either of the above. Or more?
